Getting to the Hunter Valley Wine Country region of NSW Australia.
From Sydney CBD - to Hunter Valley Wine Country: (approx 2 hours)
- Travelling from the Sydney CBD, cross the Sydney Harbour Bridge heading North and follow signs to Newcastle and North Coast NSW. This will lead you to Pacific Highway.
- Follow the Pacific Highway until you reach the National Highway 1 (or F3 Freeway) entrance at Wahroonga.
- Take the National Highway 1 Freeway north towards Newcastle.
- Exit the Freeway at the Cessnock / Hunter Valley Vineyards sign.
From Port Stephens, North Coast NSW or Newcastle:
From any of these areas, approach Hexham, and then follow the signs to The New England Highway and Maitland.
Route 1: When on New England Highway, exit on the Kurri Kurri Signs and drive to Hunter Valley Wine Country via the country towns of Kurri Kurri, Abermain, Neath and Cessnock.
Route 2: When on New England Highway, continue on through Maitland, Rutherford and Lochinvar, and exit onto Allandale Rd and drive through the Lovedale region.
From West NSW, New England Highway:
Driving from Singleton on the New England Highway heading East. Turn right onto Hermitage Rd to enter Hunter Valley Wine Country from Pokolbin and Belford, or drive to Branxton and turn right at the traffic lights, entering Hunter Valley Wine Country through Branxton and North Rothbury.
From South West - Putty Rd:
Exit the Putty Rd at Milbrodale Rd, on the Broke & Cessnock sign. Follow to the Village of Broke.
